How to harvest tea leaves:
- From April to September, the small light green shoot tips with 2-3 leaves are cut.
- It is cut approximately every 3 weeks.
- Place the shoot tips in a dry, shady place for at least a week.
- The leaves are then dried in the oven at 150 °C for 10 minutes.
- The leaves are stored for 2 months in a paper bag to develop the aromatic substances.
- Then the dry leaves are placed in a tea tin.
How to make green tea
- Boil 1 l of water and add 1/3 l of 20°C hot water (final temperature not exceeding 80°C)
- The teapot is filling.
- 20 dried shoot tips are placed in the jug and the tea steeps for 2-3 minutes.
- The teapot may be filled twice – often the second time is the best tea.
