An apple tree on a wild trunk (A1) grows into a very large tree, most suitable for forests and large country gardens. Apple trees on a wild trunk are good on poor soil, for example on a summer house plot where it is windy. They are also good if you want a large tree in the garden that you can climb in, or put up a hanging basket in. Apple trees on a wild trunk grow vigorously and take longer to bear fruit than regular apple trees on M7 or MM106.
