French anemones form tubers that look dry and lifeless. Before planting, place them in lukewarm water for a couple of hours - no longer, then they will swell up a little and will quickly germinate. It is almost impossible to see what is up and down on the tuber, so just leave it, it will figure it out on its own. You can put them in pots in the greenhouse or plant them directly in the ground in April. French anemones are a fantastic cut flower, they do not grow more than 30 cm tall, so they can also be used in the foreground of a bed.
