Ornamental onions (Allium) are very good at coming back year after year and are not eaten by deer in the garden. Some Alliums are tall, but they rarely fall over in the garden. The large ornamental onions have flowers in white and purple colors and can have very large flowers. There are several low varieties of ornamental onions with flowers in purple, yellow, pink and white colors. Most Alliums bloom in May - June. Ornamental onions bloom later than other flower bulbs. Ornamental onions are planted in the garden in September - December. It is best to plant the large ones at a depth of 20cm and the small ones at a depth of approx. 5cm in the garden.
When ornamental onions have finished blooming, the leaves disappear quite quickly. You can easily plant several types of bulbs together, for example, plant them together with tulips that bloom earlier, tulips are also planted in September - December. Our alliums are at different prices, the tall ones cost a little more, here you get a large bulb. The short ones have more than one in the bag and at a cheaper price.
