Peacock rose, paeonia officinalis is an old medicinal herb. Peacock roses are seen in many old gardens. Peacock roses are available in several colors and are slightly smaller than silk peonies. Typically, peasant roses grow to about 60cm tall. Peacock roses bloom slightly earlier than silk peonies and are incredibly beautiful. Although the peasant rose is smaller, it is still extremely hardy. It is important to plant peasant roses at the right depth, the peasant rose is a tuber that stands in the pot. Mark where the tubers on the peasant rose are and plant it 2-3cm below the soil surface.
