Basil seeds require a lot of heat, so they grow best in a greenhouse, windowsill or covered with glass or plastic in a mist bench. When summer comes, they can easily grow outside. Germinating in small pots on the windowsill is a good idea. Basil is best sown several times, so you get more out of the seeds and a longer harvest period. Once summer comes, they grow strongly and you can harvest a lot from the basil plants. When you cut basil, you also prevent them from going into flower.
