- Extremely hardy rose with characteristic light foliage that goes perfectly with the delicate pink flowers.
- A bred rose that does not form root suckers.
- In 1963, the rose was bred in Lithuania by Dr. Dz Rieksta, and in 1971 it was patented in Russia as 'Polareis'.
- Ritausma means Daybreak or dawn.
