French shallot 'Mikor'

Shallot 'Mikor' is ideal for preparing sauces or for braising. This shallot is characterized by its fine structure and mild taste, which makes it significantly less sharp in taste than conventional onions. In addition, the French shallot 'Mikor' can be stored well and for a long time.

The difference between onions and shallots lies in their size and shape. Unlike onions, shallots grow in clusters, which later consist of several bulbs. Shallots are therefore smaller and, depending on the variety, round or oblong.

This means that you can later harvest more onions from just one planted shallot. Shallots are somewhat stronger and finer in flavor, sweeter in taste, milder and less pungent than the well-known kitchen onions.
