Herbs are a good start to the season, they are all cold tolerant and good for the greenhouse in early spring. Later in May and throughout the summer they are planted directly in the herb bed, raised beds or pots. They are in 10.5 cm pots when we get to late spring and summer, but they grow very quickly and can be cut almost immediately. Who doesn't dream of pan-fried plaice with freshly picked parsley sauce. The selection is large and we have thyme, orange thyme, large leaf thyme, sage, rosemary, tarragon, mojito mint and many more. There are also many herbs that are like perennials or annuals, and even our rosemary has survived the winter for several years.
